Notes: Teams in both NASCAR series in action at Richmond this weekend will run the same tire codes. This is also the same tire set-up that Sprint Cup and Nationwide teams ran at Phoenix earlier this month, as well as in both races at that track last season. Teams in these series ran this left-side tire code (D-4238) with a slightly different right-side code at New Hampshire last season. Nationwide teams also ran this left-side code at Indianapolis, Milwaukee and Memphis in 2009. As on most NASCAR ovals one mile or less in length, teams will not run inner liners in their tires at Richmond.

Notes: This is the first time NASCAR Camping World Truck Series teams will have run either of these two tire codes. Compared to the tire set-up run at Kansas last season, Goodyear has brought a new left-side construction and a new right-side compound to help the trucks have more grip. This is the same combination of left- and right-side tires that NASCAR Nationwide Series teams ran at California earlier this season. As on all NASCAR ovals greater than one mile in length, teams are required to run inner liners in all four tire positions at Kansas. Air pressure in those liners should be 12-25 psi greater than that of the outer tire.
